Rachel & Chris' Globe Theatre Wedding
When you're a historian and history teacher, and you're marrying someone who shares your love of Shakespeare, then where better to get married than The Swan at The Globe on London's South Bank? Rachel and Chris chose The Swan at The Globe as they had some of their first dates at The Globe, so it had this added significance as well. Rachel and Chris also love bridges - their first kiss was on a bridge, and Chris chose a bridge in Paris as the perfect location when he proposed to Rachel - so you'll see that their tables were named after famous bridges, and we really loved making use of the Millennium Bridge during their couples' shoot (my favourite bridge to photography around in London)
Rachel and Chris' day was just perfect, from the laid-back, relaxed atmosphere during getting ready, to the emotions of the ceremony, through to the speeches (5 in total, each one touching, sincere and also amusing in turn), through to the fantastic party afterwards, but my favourite part of the day was when I was able to take Rachel and Chris off in the evening, between their meal and first dance, for some extra photos of just the two of them - as the sun set on London, we had a sneaky 20 mins to ourselves, and London gave us some utterly gorgeous light for these photos.
