Kayleigh and Richard got married at Eversholt Hall, a gorgeous venue that's a cross between a barn and a village hall, so pretty and in such a lovely little village on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. They wanted their day to be about family, and for them that means including their two dogs - of course! Flo stayed with Kayleigh and wore a gorgeous little scarf that matched the bridesmaids dresses (all made by Kayleigh's mum) while Charlie was with Richard and waited at the top of the aisle for Kayleigh to arrive - I'm not sure who was more nervous, Richard or Charlie, but I do know that Richard was utterly overcome with emotion when he saw Kayleigh in her wedding dress, walking with her dad down the aisle. This set the scene for a wonderful day - full of emotion, tears and laughing, vintage dresses and decor and games, champagne and prosecco, and some of the best dancefloor moves I've ever seen - but more of that later.
Eversholt Hall has fanatastic outdoor space, and we were so lucky with the weather that we could take full advantage of the grounds - plus it has a little gem of a meadow opposite, with a little pond intersected by lots of footbridges - perfect for a 10 minute escape for Kayleigh and Richard, and for me to get some really special photos of them with the dogs, and later in the evening without the dogs (who were tucked up in bed by then!). Their guests, however, were far from ready for bed. Kayleigh and Richard hired an amazing band - The Lost - to kick off their reception, and it was amazing, I have honestly rarely seen a wedding band so talented, and so able to fill a dancefloor! The dance moves, from the youngest guest to the oldest, were inspirational.
I loved every minute of photographing Kayleigh and Richard's wedding, and I am so pleased that I have met and become friends with this lovely couple.
