Donna & Dave's Brighton Bandstand & Angel House Wedding
I make no secret that I fall a little in love with most of my couples - but when the couple are as awesome as Donna and Dave, I think anyone would! The sense of fun that these two have is really fantastic - laughter was almost a constant of their day, and, as they were pretty much the same during their pre-wedding shoot, I can only assume that this is what they’re like most of the time.
And, of course, as is always the case, awesome people have awesome friends and family too. Nicky and I were made to feel SO welcome all day, and treated as friends more than suppliers. This is lovely, but it also means that we’re able to really get into the day and capture real, candid moments between both Donna and Dave, but also their guests.
It’s the first time I’ve photographed at the Bandstand and, being only 20 mins from home and knowing it so well, I was excited to finally get to do a wedding there. It was every bit as perfect as I imagined. The weather, so changeable the week before, was perfect, and we even had a few yachts in the background! Angel House is a gorgeous seafront townhouse, ideal for an intimate wedding reception - it feels very much like a house party on a grand scale. The staff at Angel House were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and I can’t wait to return there!
The best thing about a Brighton wedding though, is the chance to get a sunset on the beach - and Brighton did not let us down! It put on the most amazing natural sunset - well worth dipping out for 10 mins after the meal for these epic shots!
Thanks, Donna and Dave, for inviting Nicky and me to be part of your day!
