Karen-Anne and Owen's Perfect Vintage-Styled Wedding

Gaynes Park is such a fantastic venue, and being not far at all from Karen-Anne and Owen's home town, it was the perfect setting for their gorgeous wedding. I spent the morning with Karen-Anne and her friends, getting make-up tips from her amazing make-up artist Tanny and comparing Facebook friends with gorgeous hair stylist Lynnette (we know many of the same photographers!) before heading off to Gaynes Park. I didn't get to Gaynes Park at all last year, and I was amazed at the changes that have taken place - always a stunning venue, they now have fantastic guest accommodation as well. The getting ready space is so full of light, it's stunning.

And so onto the ceremony. I was so emotional - nothing gets to me as much as seeing a groom waiting at the top of the aisle for his love to walk towards him, and the emotion showed so clearly on Owen's face that I could feel the emotions in the room - it was so moving. They both smiled, giggled and laughed through their ceremony. The readings were gorgeous too - so personal, so perfect.

Karen-Anne and Owen's family and friends really made their day perfect - they were so welcoming to me and my assistant, and they were just so full of fun, of joy, of love. The speeches were heckled, the dance floor was full all night. I've said it on my Facebook page and I really mean it - weddings like this make my heart happy - this is what a wedding is about - celebrating your love, surrounded by friends and family, but wrapped up in each other. Forgetting the details, the flowers, the dress, the venue even - all of which are utterly gorgeous as you can see below  - what makes it special are the people. And Karen-Anne and Owen are the best kind of people. I know they'll be incredibly happy together. Thank you both for having me at your wedding <3
